What  Do I Need To Do For Chem 103/113 Lab During The First Week Of Classes (Before Lab Classes Start)?

Gen Chem Lab

Verify Your Lab Day

You should already have signed up for lab at the time you registered for Chem 103 on Virtual Registrar.  If you need to change your lab day, you must unenroll in Chem 103, then re-enroll and select a new lab day.  Lab sections are limited in size, so changes are possible only on a space-available basis.

Students whose placement exam scores are sufficiently high may transfer to Chem 113.  The Registrar will make the transfer for you so that you do not lose your lab day selection.  Do not unenroll in Chem 103.

Purchase A Chem 103/113 Lab Manual At The BMC Bookshop

You will need a Chemistry 103/113 Laboratory Manual this week so that you can read the introduction prior to our first meeting and so that you can work on Study Assignment B now. There is no need to purchase other lab materials until after you attend lab orientation.

Complete Your First Lab Assignments

Complete all assignments listed for this week on the 103/113 Lab Schedule.  Check your work for Study Assignment B (in the Chemistry 103/113 Laboratory Manual) and seek help from an instructor as needed.  If you have questions or problems with the assignment, do not hesitate to Email Dr. Lukacs or drop by Room 184 PSB.
