8:30-9:00 am conference registration, meet with invited speakers, coffee, etc.

9:00-10:15 am speaker Eloise Anderson, responders: Susan Gooden and Randy Albelda (introduction by Dean Ruth Mayden)

10:15-10:30 am break

12:30-1:15 pm lunch

2:30-3:30 pm breakout sessions

(Each of several breakout sessions has a student convenor and a panel that includes an alumnus, a responder, and others involved in the welfare reform process. The panel facilitates open discussion with the audience with the goal of coming up with recommendations for policymakers concerning welfare reform.)

3:30-3:45 pm break

3:45-4:45 pm plenary, speaker Rep. Patsy Mink (introduction by State Sen. Allyson Schwartz)

4:45-5:30 pm closing (reports from breakout groups, responses from presenters and responders, open discussion)
