FOURTH ASSIGNMENT

VIRTUAL RIVER

Visit the virtual river website and complete the exercise. It should take you about an hour. If you like, you may complete this exercise with a friend. At the end, fill in your name(s) and print the Virtual River certificate. Many of the ideas in this exercise should be familiar to you from our work in Mill Creek.

We advise you to run this exercise using Netscape Communicator version 4 or Internet Explorer version 4 (or higher). Most newer computers on campus run these versions of the web browser.

IMPORTANT! If you stop in the middle, you must start over from the beginning -- so plan to work the exercise through in one sitting. Be sure to print your certificate before quitting the browser or leaving the river web site. You must have a certificate with your name on it to get credit.

Bring your certificate to class on Monday, 10/23. Please indicate your lab day on the certificate.

If you have questions about any aspect of this assignment, please come to the help sessions on Monday 4:30-5:30 or Thursday 3:00-5:00 in PSB 100 (the 101 lab room) -- or talk to your lab instructor.
