Nikki Williams (above, right) graduated from Spelman College
in 1996 with a B.S. in mathematics. Currently she is in the Ph.D.
program at Rice University in the department of Computational and
Applied Mathematics. Her research interests are in the area of Combinatorial
Optimization and Graph Theory. She is an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow, and a
member of SIAM, NSBE, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Most of her
time is spent studying, attending classes, and avoiding the Texas sun.
When not doing this, she enjoys jogging, travelling, and spending time
with family and friends.
