Rhonda Hughes is Professor of Mathematics at Bryn Mawr College, where she has taught since 1980. She received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her research interests are in functional analysis and operator theory. In 1986, she became President of the Association for Women in Mathematics. She has collaborated with Sylivia Bozeman since 1992, when they begam the Spelman-Bryn Mawr Summer Mathematics Program. She has two children, a daughter Sarah, who is a sophomore at Skidmore College, and a son Jeremy, who is in seventh grade.
