Introduction/Course Description
This course will examine emotional and behavioral disorders of children and
adolescents, including autism, attention deficit disorder, conduct disorder,
phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anorexia, and
schizophrenia. Major topics covered will include: contrasting models of
psychopathology; classification and epidemiology of childhood
psychopathology; outcome of childhood disorders; therapeutic approaches and
their efficacy; and developmental resilience. The course format will combine
lectures and discussion.

Readings
There will be a textbook (see below) and a set of additional readings
available for purchase in a xerox bulkpack. One copy of the bulkpack will be
on reserve in Canaday.

Note to Graduate Students:
Graduate students in the class will have seven additional one hour
meetings, at a time to be arranged, for which there will be some additional
readings. Each student will give a seminar presentation at one of these
meetings.
