Forcing Title Indexing to Include Leading Stop Word(s) |
Background: Tripod automatically indexes titles using a set of defined stop words. In most cases, it is desirable for Tripod to automatically ignore titles with leading stop word(s). However, there are instances when it is necessary to force Tripod to include leading stop word(s) when indexing the title. Following are instructions to force the use of stop word(s) in title indexing and examples. |
Instructions: In a 740 field, both indicators zero (0), enter the title exactly as you would like it to index.
| Example: | ||
| 245 | 00 | A nous la libert{226}e|h[videorecording][DVD] /|cproduced by Filmsonor; directed by Ren{226}e Clair |
| 740 | 00 | A nous la libert{226}e |
NOTE: Altering Tripod's SKIP fixed field and the 245 second indicator will NOT successfully force the system to include a leading stop word(s) when indexing the title. The system automatically overrides these fields when a leading stop word(s) is present in the 245! |
