Digital Media and Collaboration Lab

Carpenter Media Lab

The Digital Media and Collaboration Lab is located in the back of the main (A) floor of Carpenter. It is always open during Carpenter library hours.

The room has: 4 "media:scape" tables for collaborative work.

Each table, which seats four to five, has a monitor and its own computer, but will also allow connection for up to four more devices from smartphones to tablets to laptops. Users can toggle between devices to bring their screens up on the monitor, and the process is automatic. No software download is needed.

6 large-screen PCs with scanners for individual work. Software includes the standard public lab programs, with some additions:

Adobe Creative Cloud

ABBYY Finereader

Sublime Text Editor

Large-format overhead scanner

(not connected to network; USB memory stick needed.)

2 iMacs (inner office, with the slides)

Digital Scholarship Resources (inner office)

Small collection of books on digital scholarship

Always open during Carpenter library hours.
