Information Services has designed two Laptop Lending Programs to address the varied needs of our community members:
1) Library Laptops (Canaday) - CHECK AVAILABILITY
- lent to current Bryn Mawr students, faculty and staff
- available on a first-come, first-served basis
- borrow for four days with no renewals
- see below for more information!
2) Flexible Laptop Lending Program (Guild)
- lent to Bryn Mawr faculty and staff ONLY
- reserve in advance
- for needs longer than the 4 day Library Loan period
For DVD viewing, two portable DVD players are available from Canaday Library.
More about Library Laptops:
Mac and Dell laptops with built-in DVD-CDRW drives and wireless
internet are available for check-out from the Canaday Library circulation
desk. These computers are available on a first come, first-served
basis.
How they Circulate:
Laptops circulate for
four days at a time with no renewals. An available laptop may be checked
out any time the library is open. Each borrower will be asked to sign a one-time form to verify that they are aware of the rules for borrowing a laptop. This form will be kept on file for library staff reference.
Please note:
Overdue laptops will accrue a fine of $25 per day. Returned laptops will not be available until they have undergone routine maintenance. Prompt returns ensure prompt maintenance, and the greatest laptop availability for all borrowers.
