Other Materials is organized into four groups: Writings by Katharine S. White, Miscellaneous Garden Materials, The New Yorker Photographs and Drawings, and Miscellaneous New Yorker Materials.

Writings by Katharine S. White includes notes, typescript drafts, original galley proofs, and other materials for White's article series Onward and Upward in the Garden; her personal garden and houseplant journal; a complete set of original galley proofs for her posthumously published book, Onward and Upward in the Garden; and two incomplete, original short stories.

Miscellaneous Garden Materials contains garden club show brochures and seed catalogs collected by White; newspaper and magazine clippings, pamphlets, and printed articles on gardening topics, as well as other reference materials used by . White to research and write her Onward and Upward pieces; and newspaper and magazine clippings of reviews of her posthumously published book.

The New Yorker Photographs and Drawings contains photographs of prominent New Yorker writers and staff; original artwork by New Yorker artists; and photocopies of New Yorker cartoons featuring Bryn Mawr College.

Miscellaneous New Yorker Materials contains newspaper clippings and reviews on New Yorker writers and artists; original typescript opinion sheets written by New Yorker editors; and newspaper and magazine clippings of obituaries of prominent New Yorker writers, artists, and editors.

Onward and Upward in the Garden Ms Notes. 7pp of typescript and autograph notes by KSW titled: "Possible themes of chapters in my book - Probably not in this order."

Written in a casual, informal style, this journal records KSW's efforts to make plants grow at her home in Maine. Contains detailed descriptions of KSW's struggles with fungus, mealy bugs, plant lice, and other garden pests, as well as recording types of plants and flowers planted by her. 1 Jan 1959-11 May 1960

Contains printed copies of KSW's Onward and Upward in the Garden articles, cut from The New Yorker and pasted on blank pages. Accompanied by typed notes by KSW about each individual article, including a brief content synopsis of each and a list of catalogues mentioned in each of the articles.
