Suppose your student organization — let's say it's a club devoted to a funky and obscure but utterly engrossing hobby — wants to have a bake sale. Where do you set up your folding table full of vegan granola bars or sinfully buttery shortcake? The Campus Center. Your fragrant collection of confections will tempt nearly every nose on campus that way.
The Marie Salant Neuberger Centennial Campus Center is the humming engine that powers much of Bryn Mawr's extracurricular life. A big stone faux castle that was once the College's gymnasium, the Center contains the mailroom, the Bryn Mawr Bookshop, the Uncommon Grounds Café, and the offices of Residential Life, Student Activities, Conferences and Events, and the student Self-Government Association. In the Main Lounge, students can watch TV and surf the 'Net. The Campus Center is a forum for small gatherings, meetings, parties, concerts, forums, talks and all sorts of creative procrastination.
