Eugenia Chase Guild (pronounced "guiled") Hall is the nucleus of a campuswide computing system at Bryn Mawr. The main computer lab in Guild is the largest of seven public labs on campus, all of which offer networked laser printers. Trained Student Computer Operators staff Guild from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., and students may call the Help Desk for assistance with computing issues anywhere on campus, from a library lab to a fully wired dormitory. When business is slow, student ops can often be found in Guild's New Media Lab, home of scanners, sophisticated graphics software and specialized video-editing equipment. Sure, it looks like a digital playground, but those ops are working. Really.
