Tucker honored by Concept School
Carol Tucker, MA '61, English, Ph.D. '76, education, was honored in a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the school she directs. In 1972 Tucker and her husband Jack gathered with a group of concerned educators and began The Concept School as a coeducational school to provide opportunities for children in need of options for their academic development. The first classes were held in borrowed space at a Concordville, PA church. Growing over the years, the school moved into its own building in Westtown in 1976. Today the 60-student school provides a high quality education in a small school environment. For students unable to reach their potentials in mainstream education environments, The Concept School provides a place where they can develop their love of learning.
