Front and back covers: Floor tiles made by Moravian Pottery and Tile Works in Doylestown, PA for Thomas Library. M. Carey Thomas herself selected the patterns and color combinations in consultation with Henry C. Mercer, founder of the historic Tile Works. Mercer's tiles also were used in the old Deanery, post-fire Denbigh, and the Pembroke vestibules. The stained glass window, still on the third floor of Taylor Hall, was part of Bryn Mawr's original chapel. Photos by Paola Nogueras-Balasquide Tagliamonte '84.
