The Career Network is a program sponsored and funded by the Alumnae Association with significant help from the College and the Bryn Mawr-Haverford Career Development Office (CDO). The Career Network is entering its ninth year and our goal continues to be to create a program which serves the needs of BMC alumnae in all stages of their careers.
Local Career Development Representatives
Eight cities across the country currently have CDRs. The CDRs plan local programs and serve as a link to local career resources. Most events are "Bi-Co-" events with Haverford and may be networking receptions, speaker events, or panels. Contact your local rep for information.
Alumnae/i Networking
The Alumnae Association is pleased to provide an On-line Directory to aid in
your career investigations. The directory is password protected. If you do not
already have a User ID and Password, please contact Megan
Ward (mward@brynmawr.edu). The newly enhanced search features for the directory allow you to
query by: name, class year, geographical location, company name, industry and
occupation. The On-Line Directory only contains career information on those
alumnae that have granted their permission. Please contact John Tuton (jtuton@brynmawr.edu) for additional support.
Toview the many on-line resources linked through the Career Development Office, go to the CDO Alumnae Portal. Certain online resources will require the use of a password. You will be prompted to request an Access Code which will then reveal these passwords.
To post a job or internship for alumnae or students go to the CDO Employer Portal.
Join a Local Career Committee
Contact your local Career Development Representative and volunteer to serve on the career committee. You can help plan events or participate in a number of ways. You may even want to serve as the CDR when the position opens. We welcome your ideas for programming, program locations, and career resources. If your company has space for programs, let your CDR know.
Attend Events
Watch the website, your email, and your mail for notification of local events. Check our list of current events for something near you.
Sponsor an Extern
Consider allowing a BMC or HC student to work with you over their winter or spring vacation, a great way for them to learn about a career option. To request an extern email Amy Feifer (afeifer@haverford.edu),
List Positions at the CDO
Recent graduates and alumnae/i of BMC/HC make talented candidates for all kinds of employment. Consider listing opportunities at your company through the CDO. Job listings are also posted in Network News at no charge to employers. Contact Sharon Powers (spowers@haverford.edu) to provide job information to the CDO.
