
March 4-17, 2009 –Come join Bryn Mawr alumnae/i and friends for a cultural and wildlife safari that presents an extraordinary opportunity to experience life through the eyes of a Tanzanian woman. During this two-week journey, we will take you into the homes, businesses, and villages of the rural, urban, and traditional women of Tanzania. As we take part in their daily lives, learn about their challenges and accomplishments, and join in discussions with the help of an interpreter, we will gain a uniquely intimate perspective on women's issues in a developing nation. This rewarding experience will take place against a backdrop of stunning scenery, from the bustling villages on the slopes of Mount Meru to the pristine wilderness of the great Serengeti.

June 5 – 17, 2009 –We welcome you to join Bryn Mawr Alumnae Travel on this custom-designed itinerary that explores the ancient impressions and modern interactions that constitute the fascinating culture on the divided island of Cyprus. During our tour in Cyprus, we explore the ancient sites and recent relics that have created the island’s unique historical mosaic over thousands of years. The program also offers an optional post-trip extension to Jordan’s west coast, where we visit the dazzling site of Petra among other local points of historic, religious, and cultural interests.

June 28 – July 5, 2009 – Our journey will enable you to experience Alaska at eye level: in a kayak; walking through the primeval forest and whale watching from the decks of our cruise ship. On our journey you can wake to the cry of an eagle soaring, watch tons of ice thunder from the face of a glacier and observe lunge-feeding whales.

August 12-23, 2008 – Join Bryn Mawr alumnae/i and friends, along with alumnae/i from both Smith and Wellesley Colleges, aboard the M. V. Casanova for a cruise along the Danube. We will be accompanied by Smith Professor of Music Jane Bryden, a distinguished advocate of chamber music who will enrich our program with a series of musical conversations.

November 2 – 18, 2008 – Your adventure starts in Beijing where you will visit the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. Later tour the Houhai district by pedicab for a view of traditional life, visit the Summer Palace and experience the Great Wall of China. You'll fly to Xian to see the terra cotta warriors and other historic sites. We will then travel to Shanghai where you will tour the famous Shanghai Museum. Our trip will take us next to Hangzhou by way of the picturesque town of Wuxhen. In Hangzhou we will tour Huagang Park, visit the Buddhist Lingyin Temple and tour the National Silk Museum. We will then fly to Guangzhou and tour the Nan Yue Wang Tomb Museum, and the Family Chen's Clan Temple. Our trip concludes in Shenzhen where we will visit industrial parks where China's recent economic boom all started.
