Research Specializations: gender and sexuality, race and ethnicity, class, critical studies of science and technology, medical anthropology, ethnographic research methods, space and place.
ANTH 256. APPLIED ANTHROPOLOGY

An introduction to the application of anthropological knowledge in the contemporary world. Applied anthropologists work in government, NGO, and corporate settings around the world and advise and implement development projects, commercial ventures, and mediate cultural relations. Ethnical implications of this work will be discussed and new applications of anthropology explored.  Limited enrollment: 20 students. Prerequisite: ANTH 102 or permission from instructor.
