The Application of Archaeometric Techniques.

In this course we examine advances in materials analysis, palaeoenvironmental research, AMS/14C dating (including calibration) and statistical techniques such as Bayesian modelling and Geographical Information Systems. The focus of the course is on the application of these techniques to archaeological problems and the creation of research questions suitable for graduate study. No assumed knowledge is necessary and the course is designed to be of interest to a broad range of archaeology graduate students.
