PROJECT GOALS
The purpose of the project was

to explore the long term history of human settlement and landuse in a well
defined area,
-
to examine how settlement and landuse were affected by external areas,
such as settlement in the adjacent Argolid and Corinthia, and by larger
and more distant political economies.

to examine the long-term effects of human activity on a landscape,
-
to develop methods for integrating intensive archaeological survey with
excavation,
-
to test explicit methodologies for survey and for excavation.
