The select touring choir performs a wide range of musical styles from the Renaissance to vocal jazz. In the upcoming year, the Chamber Singers will perform for the Bryn Mawr College inauguration for new president Kim Cassidy, as an important part of a new play at the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg Center, and with acclaimed Lebanese oud player, vocalist, composer, and peace activist Marcel Khalifé in the world premiere of his new work Elégie l'Orient (Chants of the East) for choir, Arabic tahkt ensemble, and Western chamber orchestra.

Auditions will be held during the first week of classes.

For the Bi-College Orchestra

This fall the Haverford/Bryn Mawr College Orchestra will perform Tschaikovsky’s moving Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy, a lovely Sinfonia by J.C.Bach and a new work by Charles Cacioppo which will feature jazz drummer Scott Robinson. Mr. Robinson has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt and Good Morning America and has performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Charles Mingus, Marg Egan Chuck Loeb and others. Mr. Robinson will be giving a master class for the whole orchestra!  Second semester will feature Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony and the winner(s) of the student concerto competition.

In chamber music students will have the opportunity to work with the Amernet String Quartet and Jasper String Quartets. In addition students may have the opportunity to participate in the residency offered by NETWORK FOR NEW MUSIC.
