Summer Institute
2005
From
June 6th to July 29, 2005, the Asch Center offered its fifth Summer Institute, made
possible through the generous support of the National Institute of Mental
Health. The intensive program was designed to prepare social scientists and
practitioners to work on problems of ethnopolitical conflict ranging from
basic research to conducting and evaluating interventions with survivors of
political violence. The 20 Summer Fellows who
participated in the program were taught by an expert Visiting Faculty from around the country and
the world. In addition, the Fellows benefited greatly from the opportunity to
share their knowledge and experience with each other in seminar discussions,
collaborative research groups, and informal gatherings. The 2005 Summer
Institute Schedule and Syllabus
are available for review.
