Bryn Mawr, Pa. – The Badminton team took a 3-0 lead following doubles and then secured the match victory in singles as they widen their first place lead over Drexel in the Intercollegiate Badminton Association (IBA).
The number 1 doubles team of Ashley Himelfarb and Belinda Leung won their match in straight sets 21-12, 21-15. Jeanette Kwon and Markie Hill , at #2 doubles defeated Yim and Pens 21-11, 21-17 as Priscy Pias and Simona Radu won their match 21-12, 21-11.
In singles, Himelfarb (#1) and Leung (#2, cruised to 21-14, 21-9 and 21-5, 21-10 victories over the Dragons, respectively. Whitney Chambers defeated White 21-7, 21-9, and Pias topped her opponent 21-9, 21-4 to secure Bryn Mawr with their third win of the season.
The Owls improve to 3-0 on the season and will return to action on the 31 st as they host Bryn Athyn. Match time is set for 7:30 p.m. -003- |
