Bryn Mawr, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr badminton team added two more victories on the season with a 9-0 thwarting of Albright and an 8-1 victory over Haverford.
In the blanking of Albright, Ashley Himelfarb and Belinda Leung, number 1 doubles, won 21-13, 21-12 as the number two team of Priscy Pais and Simona Radu rolled to a 21-8, 21-10 win. Bo Yeon Kim and Jennifer Huh won by forfeit at the number three slot.
In singles, the number one player, Himelfarb topped Jackie Reyes 21-12, 21-8 as Leung won her number two match 21-3, 21-5. Pais and Whitney Chambers, number three and four singles, defeated their opponents 21-9, 21-10 and 21-9, 21-9, respectively. Huh won her #5 bout 21-14, 21-17 and Kim, number six, won 21-15, 19-21, 21-13.
Against Haverford, Himelfarb and Leung, at #1 doubles defeated Yum/Wu 21-14, 18-21, 21-15. The number 2 team of Jeanette Kwon and Huh won 21-11, 21-9 over Chow/LamViet. The third doubles team of Alexa Yim and Ariana Hoo won by forfeit.
In singles, Leung and Pais, number two and three singles won their matches 21-18, 13-21, 25-23 and 21-9, 21-8, respectively. Chambers topped LamVeit 21-8, 21-7 in the number four slot as Huh and Radu won by forfeits at #5 and #6 singles.
