Claremont, Calif. – The Owls went 1-1 on their two-game trip to California following a 53-66 loss to host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in non-conference action Sunday night.
Senior co-captain Katie Driscoll netted a team-high 12 points as junior co-captain Jessica Allen , sophomore Shanika Bridges-King , and freshman Emilie Naccarato all shipped in 10 points a piece. Allen added five assists and two blocked shots while Bridges-King shot 4-for-5 from the free throw line. Junior Julia Harris tallied three blocked shots and two steals on the evening.
CMS led the Bryn Mawr at the break 33-30 before netting 33 in the second half en route to their first win of the season. CMS outshot the Owls for the game in addition to holding a 39-26 advantage in rebounds.
Bryn Mawr falls to 3-7 on the season while CMS improved to 1-9. The Owls return to the hardwood Wednesday, January 9, as they host Gettysburg College in Centennial Conference action. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
