Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Freshman Emilie Naccarato netted a team-high 24 points as the Owls feel to visiting Muhlenberg 38-63 in Centennial Conference action Thursday night.
Bryn Mawr held a 4-3 lead with 14:39 to play in the first-half, but Muhlenberg went on an 11-0 run to take a 14-4 lead at 10:50. The Mules tacked on 19 more to take a 33-20 lead into the locker room. In the second-half, Muhlenberg outscored the Owls 30-18 as they cruised to their sixteenth victory of the season.
Junior co-captain Jessica Allen picked added another double-double to her season stats with 11 rebounds and 10 points. She also dished out two assists. Sophomore Shanika Bridges-King had a team-high two steals as senior co-captain Katie Driscoll added six points for he Owls.
For Muhlenberg, Shelia Cook led all scorers with 18 as Lauren Boyle chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds. Erin McSherry had two blocks and Kaitlin O'Malley had a game-high three steals. Abra Like dished out a game-high four assists.
The loss drops the Owls to 4-17 overall and 1-13 in conference play as the Mules improve to 16-5 overall and 11-3 in Centennial play. Bryn Mawr returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Gettysburg. Tip is set for 1:00 p.m.
