CROSS COUNTRY RUNS TO FOURTH PLACE AT MULE/FALCON CLASSIC

Bryn Mawr, Pa. – The cross country team, led by a third place finish from Katie Weng, finished fourth at the Mule/Falcon Classic hosted by Cedar Crest and Muhlenberg Colleges.

In addition to Weng’s third place finish, Julia Lustick and Jessica Varney finished 13th and 22nd, respectively, to help power the Owls to a strong team finish. Maggie Lloyd, also scoring points for Bryn Mawr improved her time from last year’s race by 2 minutes.

In the fifth and sixth slots for the Owls were Giovanna Hayward and Virginia Tseng while Caroline Johnson was running right on their heels.

Other runners with strong performances, but not figuring into the team scoring, were Lucy Wackman, Kyla Quillin, Kate Duguid, Jesse Solomon, and Julie Griffin.

Head coach Dan Talbot stated “This race went well and the team improved a lot since the Haverford Time Trials.”

The Owls will travel to Lancaster next weekend as they plan to race in the Franklin and Marshall to run in the Race for the Buggy. The race starts at 10:00 a.m.
