Wellesley, Mass. – On a perfect Fall day in Massachusetts, the Bryn Mawr cross country team ran well at the annual Seven Sisters Championships hosted by Wellesley College.
Despite their last place finish and high score, head coach Dan Talbot was happy with the performance put forth by his Owls. Leading the way for the Owls was Katie Weng who place 15th overall in the time of 19:49.
Other runners contributing to team with exceptional races was Julia Lustick (20:21), Maggie Lloyd (21:33), Giovanna Hayward (21:0), Caroline Johnson (22:11), and Margaux Kearney (22:30). Sophomore Jess Varney ran very well for her first race back from an injury earlier in the season while Jesse Solomon also put forth a great effort.
Bryn Mawr returns to action October 20, as they travel to Lancaster in final preparations for the Conference Championship hosted by Franklin and Marshall October 27. This weekends meet starts at 10:00 a.m.
