Bryn Mawr, Pa. – The Garnet toppled the Owls 5-0 in Centennial Conference opening day action on the Main Line.
Swarthmore registered two goals in the first half before adding three more in the second half to earn the 5-0 win on Shillingford Field.
First year goalkeeper Katherine Zaylor registered 17 saves in her first collegiate appearance in the cage as Lily Chen and Caroline Heffernan picked up shots on goal.
The Owls return to action on Friday, September 7, as they travel to Baltimore, Md. to do battle with the Blazers of Hood College at 4:30 p.m.
