Bryn Mawr, Pa. – The Owls fell to visiting Gettysburg College 9-0 in Centennial Conference action Saturday afternoon.
The Bullets scored 4 goals in the first half before adding 5 more in the second as they handed the Owls their sixth straight loss. The Bullets were led by Savannah Ruth and Annie Marosits with two goals a piece as Sarah Latta recorded two assists.
For the Owls, goalies Caitlin Evans and Katherine Zaylor combined for 18 saves. Rachel Brody and Ashley Dawkins kept Gettysburg at bay as each one made 1 defensive saves.
Gettysburg outshot the Owls 19-1 and held a 15-2 advantage in corners.
The Owls fall to 2-8 (0-6 Centennial) overall as the Bullets improve to 7-4 and 3-2 in conference play. The Owls return to action on Wednesday, October 10, as they host conference rival Haverford at 4:00 p.m. -Box Score-
