Glen Allen, Va . – Eight Bryn Mawr College field hockey players have been named to the 2007 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Academic Squad while the entire team was recognized as a NFHCA National Academic Team.
The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2007-08 academic year.
Earning the National Academic Squad accolades for the second consecutive year were sophomores Caitlin Evans and Alisa Sydner. First-year award winners include sophomores Rachel Corey, Anna Dela Cruz, Michelle Gauthier, and Sara Marcus while freshman Laura Alexander and Abi Major round out the list.
