Savannah, Ga. – Bryn Mawr opened up their 2008 schedule with a 12-8 win over the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
The Owls took a 8-6 lead into the intermission before adding 4 more in the second to pick up their first win of the season. Leading Bryn Mawr was Moriah Scott with six goals and one assists. Greta Flaherty and Georgia Lawrence netted 3 goals and two goals, respectively. Alex Byers picked up her first goal of the season while Jessica Wurtz dished out one assist.
The Owls are now 1-0 on the season and will spend the rest of the week in Georgia for the remainder of spring break. Bryn Mawr will return to action on Saturday March 15 as they will play Moravian in the first day of the Tri-Co Invite hosted by Swarthmore. Game time is 12:00 p.m.
