LAX SUFFERS SECOND LOSS OF THE SEASON

Dover, Del. – Bryn Mawr was defeated on the road by Wesley College, 11-5, following a venue change due to recent inclement weather.

Greta Flaherty and Moriah Scott notched two goals each while Alex Byers went between the pipes once. Both of Scott’s goals came in the first-half, as Flaherty spaced her goals out over both half’s. Byers goal came with twelve minutes remaining in the game.

Jessica Wurtz and Katie Kellom dished out one assist each. Kellom possessed a game-high five draw controls as Scott snagged two.

Netminder Steph Hilton posted 11 saves and scooped up a team-high five groundballs. Caroline Heffernan and Wurtz each picked up three from turf.

Leading the Wolverines with two goals apiece was Amanda Browning, Stephanie Johnson, Jade Martin, and Kyley McDevitt. Browning offered out a game-high two assists.

Wesley outshot Bryn Mawr 35-22 while turning the ball over seven less times than the Owls. Bryn Mawr did hold a 9-8 lead with draw controls.

The Owls are now 2-2 on the season while Wesley improves to 3-3. Bryn Mawr returns to action on Saturday, March 22, as they will host Arcadia University on Applebee Field at 1:00 p.m.
