DICKINSON TOPS LAXERS 16-6 IN CONFERENCE PLAY

Bryn Mawr, Pa. – The visiting Dickinson Red Devils defeated Bryn Mawr 16-6 in Centennial Conference action despite five second-half goals from Greta Flaherty.

Dickinson used a 10-goal first half sparked by three goals from Blair Thompson and a pair from Abby Larsen and Amy Jennings to pick up their eighth win of the year. Jennings netted het 100th career goal at 22:23, her first goal of the day.

Bryn Mawr battled back in the second as they scored six goals, four in the final seven minutes of play. Flaherty got the Owls on the board at 8:23 with a free-position shot. Her third and fourth goals came way of free-position shots at 26:04 and 28:07, respectively.

With less than seven minutes to play in the game, Georgia Lawrence took a pass from Jessica Wurtz and beat Devils' goalie Caitlin Kingsley to the far post for her seventh goal of the season.

For the Owls, goalie Stephanie Hilton posted 16 saves as Lawrence won seven draws. Hilton and Lawrence scooped up six groundballs apiece.

Leading the Red Devils was Larson, Thompson, and Caitlin Blair with three goals each. Jennings added two while five other netted one. Sara Braniecki had five assists.

Bryn Mawr was 15-for-24 on clears (62.5%) and 3-for-6 on free-position shots. Dickinson won 14 draws compared to the Owls' 10 and held a 25-24 advantage in groundballs.

Bryn Mawr is now 3-4 and 0-5 in Centennial play while Dickinson improves to 8-3 and 4-1 in the conference. Bryn Mawr returns to action on Tuesday, April 8, as they travel to Muhlenberg. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
