Bryn Mawr, Pa. - Seniors Greta Flaherty and Moriah Scott scored four goals each as the Owls topped Cedar Crest 15-3 in non-league action. Flaherty moves to fourth all-time with 116 goals while Scott netted her 100th career goal.
Georgia Lawrence scored the first goal of the game, followed by three straight from Flaherty over a two-minute span. Scott netted the next three goals for the Owls followed by Jessica Wurtz at 10:01, giving Bryn Mawr an 8-0 lead.
Cedar Crest's Mackenzie Lee got the Falcons on the board at 20:38. Kelly Oakes assisted Lee on the goal.
At 23:29 in the first-half, Scott netted her fourth goal of the game. With the goal, Scott moved into ninth place all-time with 100 goals. She is the second Owl to reach the century mark this year.
Two-minutes later, defender Stephanie Wujcik netted her first goal of the year, second of her career, on a free-position shot. A goal from the Falcons Jesenia Holguin cut Bryn Mawr's lead to nine, 11-2, at 27:57. At 28:42, Jessica Lee netted the Owls last goal of the half. BMC took a 12-2 lead into the intermission.
The second-half started similar to the first with Flaherty scoring the first goal at 1:01. Katie Kellom and Alex Byers added two more goals for the Owls before Cedar Crest's Amanda Dombroski went between the pipes at 11:40.
The final goal of the game was scored by Cara Sogliuzzo at 15:31 remaining in the half. Wujcik was credited with an assist.
Lawrence and Scott registered one assist each. Goalie Steph Hilton grabbed seven groundballs and caused four turnovers. Lawrence had five groundballs and four draw controls. Lawrence and Caroline Heffernan caused four turnovers each.
Leading Cedar Crest was Holguin, Lee, and Dombroski with once goal each. Eryn Ziegler scooped-up a team-high four groundballs and caused four turnovers. Brittany Fikes also registered four turnovers.
The Owls improve to 4-8 while the Falcons drop to 1-9. Bryn Mawr returns to action on Saturday, April 12, as they travel to reigning national champions, Franklin and Marshall. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
