Bryn Mawr, Pa. – The Owls gave up a 2-1 halftime lead to fall 3-2 to the Mighty Macs in the first round of the Bryn Mawr College Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The Macs got on the board first as the Owls allowed an "own goal" six minutes into the game.
Bryn Mawr battled back with goals from senior co-captain Wallis Romzek and first year midfielder Emily Wiseman at 20:28 and 26:14, respectively, to give the Owls a 2-1 lead at the half.
Immaculata’s Christina Guerrieri and Erica Lyons both registered goals in the second half as the Mighty Macs came from behind to top the Owls 3-2 in the season opener.
Bryn Mawr returns to action on Sunday as they are scheduled to play Lincoln University at 12:00 p.m. in the consolation game of the tournament. Immaculata will play Goucher College, who defeated Lincoln 6-0, at 2:30 in the championship game.
