SOCCER BLANKS NC WESLEYAN 3-0

Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Bryn Mawr scored one first-half goal and added two second-half insurance goals as they blanked NC Wesleyan 3-0 in non–conference action.

The Owls got on the board first with a goal from Akua Nyame-Mensah at 27:53. Nyame-Mensah took a goal kick from Collette Pullion, took on two defenders before breaking away and blasting she shot past the keeper. The goal gave Bryn Mawr a 1-0 lead at the half.

Two second-half goals from Wallis Romzek and Katy Wing put the icing on the cake as Bryn Mawr rolled to a 3-0 victory over the Bishops on Applebee Field.

Romzek’s goal came at 73:23 as she dribbled down the end line and blasted her shot by the keeper. Five minutes later, Wing took a lofted pass over the goalies head from Emily Wiseman and secured Bryn Mawr the victory.

The Owls are now 2-1 on the season and will host Grinnell on Sunday, Sept. 9. Kick off is set for 11:00 a.m.
