SOCCER RECOGNIZES FOUR SENIORS ON SENIOR DAY

Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Before the start to the Swarthmore-Bryn Mawr soccer game, Owls head coach, Erin DeMarco, recognized her four seniors with a brief ceremony and flowers for their dedication and hard work over their careers. As for the game, Bryn Mawr fell to the Garnet 3-0 in conference action.

The four senior co-captains that were honored are Zoe Fuller-Young, Wallis Romzek, Sara Simons, and Krystin Wessner.

Swarthmore scored their first goal of the game from Sara Reese, with ten ticks left in the first half. Two second half goals from Megan Colombo and Kelsey Cline secured the Garnet the win.

The Owls were led offensively by Romzek and freshman Emily Wiseman as each player registered one shot. In the net for the Bryn Mawr, junior Collette Pullion posted 8 saves while Simons blocked 3 shots in the final seventeen minutes.

The Owls are now 4-7-1 overall and 0-5 in the Centennial as Swarthmore improves to 7-1 and 4-1 in conference action. The Owls return to action on Wednesday, October 10, as they play host to cross town rival Haverford College at 4:00 p.m.
