SWIMMING TAKES HOME FIVE GOLD MEDALS, FALLS TO CABRINI 95-101

Radnor, Pa. – Bryn Mawr took home five first place and four second place finishes as the Owls fell to host Cabrini 95-101 in non-conference action Wednesday night.

Leading Bryn Mawr was freshman Sarah Blatchly who took home gold medals in the 200 Free (2:09.46) and 500 Free (5:41.19). Classmates, Cea Weaver and Greta Bednarczyk, also took home first place finishes in the 1000 Free (11:31.42) and 100 Breast (1:23.55), respectively.

The Owls’ 200 Free Relay “A” team also took home gold as Alison Shatz, Meredith Sisson, Blatchly, and Weaver finished the race nineteenth-tenths of a second ahead of Carbini for 11 team points.

Taking home silver medals for the Owls was Sisson (200 IM, 2:29.96), Weaver (100 Free, 58.29), Lindsey Warren-Shriner (500 Free, 5:51.75), and Katie Belova (100 Breast, 1:25.52).

Bryn Mawr returns to the water this weekend as they travel to Smith College for the Annual Seven Sisters Competition. Racing begins Saturday morning.
