Radnor, Pa. – Bryn Mawr held of a late charge by the Cavaliers to stay unbeaten as they wrap up their fall season with a 5-4 victory on the road at Cabrini.
The Owls took a 4-2 lead after singles as number one Karen Ginsburg , number five Anna Dejdar , and number 6 April Lee won their matches in two sets. At the #3 spot, Marie Sager bounced back from a 0-6 first set loss to win the next two 6-3, 6-2 as she defeated Nicole Pontious.
In doubles, Dejdar and Lee defeated Christine Telling and Megan Simmons 9-8(4) to secure Bryn Mawr the victory from the number two slot. The #1 doubles team of Ginsburg and Leah Blankenship got off to a rocky start down 7-2, battled back, but eventually falling 8-6 to Dina Ditaranto and Carolyn Wilson.
The Owls finish their fall season 2-0 and will now take the winter off in preparation for their tough spring conference schedule.
