Wellesley, Mass. – The Bryn Mawr tennis team finished day one of the annual Seven Sisters Championships with a 0-5 loss to host Wellesley and 1-4 loss to Smith.
Winning the Owls lone match of the day was Marie Sager against Smith’s Fiumefreddo 7-5, 6-3. The number two doubles team of Anna Dejdar and Melissa Mash fell to Smith’s Fujii/Jackson in a third set tiebreaker, 7-6 (9-7), 4-6, 7-6 (7-2).
Bryn Mawr falls to 2-8 on the season. The Owls return to action tomorrow, Sunday, March 30, as they take on Vassar and Mt. Holyoke at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., respectively.
