Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Marie Sager won at No. 3 singles 6-1, 6-2, and when teamed with Karen Ginsburg at No. 1 doubles, rolled to an 8-2 win. The Shorewomen defeated the Owls 7-2 in Centennial Conference action.
At No. 1 doubles, Sager and Ginsburg defeated Palmer/Davis 8-2. April Lee and Melissa Mansh, at number 2 doubles, fell to Daciek and Bull 8-3, while Leah Raj and Marianne Leung lost at #3 doubles, 8-1 to Barston/Kelly.
In singles action, No.1 Ginsburg fell to Daciek 6-0, 6-1, as Mimi Nguyen dropped her #2 match to Davis 7-6(5), 7-5. Sager defeated Barston 6-1, 6-2, at the number 3 slot while Mansh fell to Palmer 6-3, 6-0, and Anna Dejdar was topped by Bull 6-0, 6-2. At No. 6 singles, Lee lost to Kelly 6-3, 6-2.
In exhibition matches Emily Reuman won over Kristine Depew 8-6 and Leung lost to Depew 8-1.
Bryn Mawr is now 3-10 overall and 0-4 in league play while Washington improves to 8-0 and 3-1 in conference duals. The Owls will host Franklin and Marshall Saturday, April 5, at 1:00 p.m. The Owls will be celebrating alumnae/parent day following the match and will honor the seniors prior to the start.
