HOPKINS DOWNS TENNIS 9-0

Bryn Mawr, Pa. – Visiting Johns Hopkins topped the tennis team 9-0 in Centennial Conference action, Saturday afternoon on the Main Line.

The No. 1 doubles team of Karen Ginsburg and Marie Sager was defeated by Bhamidipati/Matava 8-3. At the #2 slot, Leah Raj and Anna Dejdar fell 0-8 while Melissa Mansh and April Lee were defeated 1-8.

In singles action, Ginsburg fell 2-6, 2-6, at the number one spot. At No. 2 singles, Mimi Nguyen fell to Matava 0-6, 0-6, while Sager dropped her no. 3 bout 0-6, 1-6. Mansh was defeated by Dwyer 0-6, 1-6 at No. 4. Lee lost 1-6, 1-6, to Schubert and Marianne Leung was defeated by Berlinghof 0-6, 0-6.

Bryn Mawr falls to 3-13/0-7 CC while the Blue Jays improve to 11-1 overall and 8-0 in the Centennial. The Owls return to action tomorrow, Sunday, April 13, as they travel to Gettysburg College. The showdown with the Bullets is set for 1:00 p.m.
