LEE WINS AT #5 SINGLES

Gettysburg, Pa.April Lee defeated Meghan Kelly 6-4, 6-1, at the number five singles spot, as the Owls fell to Gettysburg College in Centennial Conference action Sunday afternoon.

In singles action, Karen Ginsburg was topped by Taylor 6-1, 6-2, while Mimi Nguyen fell at the No. 2 spot 6-0, 6-3. In the third slot, Marie Sager was defeated by Eurich 6-1, 6-3, and Melissa Mansh lost to Gottesfeld 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4. In the sixth position, Marianne Leung lost 6-0, 6-1, to McConnell.

The duo of Ginsburg and Sager were defeated at the No. 1 doubles spot 6-8. The #2 team of Mansh and Lee lost 8-1 while the team of Leah Raj and Leung was blanked 0-8 at the number three slot.

The Owls are now 3-14 overall and 0-8 in conference play. The Bullets improve to 10-5 and 4-5 in Centennial action. The Owls return to action on Wednesday, April 15, as they host Ursinus at 3:30 p.m. in league play.
