TENNIS SENIORS TAKE THE COURT FOR FINAL TIME AT HOME

Bryn Mawr, Pa.Anna Dejdar, April Lee, Melissa Mansh, and Marie Sager all took the court today for their final home collegiate match.  Ursinus defeated the Owls 6-3 in Centennial action.

In doubles action, the No. 3 duo of Lee and Mansh defeated Christina Lippi/Julia Kurtz 8-4. The number one team of Karen Ginsburg and Sager were topped 8-4 while Dejdar and Leah Raj feel at the #2 spot by the same score.

In singles play, Lee won at the No. 6 spot 6-0, 6-2, as Ginsburg defeated Jennifer Hope 7-6 (2), 7-7(3). Mimi Nguyen fell at No. 2 while Sager was downed by Kurtz 6-3, 6-3, in the number three hole. Mansh lost her No.4 bout 6-2, 6-4, and Dejdar dropped her match 6-4, 6-1.

The win marks the first time in ten seasons that Ursinus has defeated Bryn Mawr. The Owls hold on to a 15-11 series lead that started back in 1976.

The loss drops Bryn Mawr to 3-15 overall and 0-9 in conference play while the Bears improve to 7-8 and 2-7 CC. The Owls wrap up their 2007-08 season this Saturday as they travel to McDaniel for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
