Head Coach
:
Dan Talbot

Dan Talbot began coaching at Bryn Mawr in 1994 as a volunteer assistant cross country coach. That winter, he resurrected the College's Track & Field club with an eye towards improving the cross country program and establishing a successful varsity track & field team at Bryn Mawr.

In 1997 he took over head coaching duties for cross country, and in 1999 track & field was elevated to varsity status and Talbot was hired full time to coach both sports. Indoor Track was added as a varsity sport in 2001. From the start, Talbot has been committed to building a tradition of excellence in cross country and track & field at Bryn Mawr.

Talbot ran competitively for Tom Donnelly at Haverford College, and has earned Level II certifications in Endurance, Throws, Jumps, and Sprints/Hurdles/Relays from the USA Track & Field Coaching Education program. He is currently working on certification with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and teaches Weight Training, Archery, and Wellness at Bryn Mawr.

Under Talbot's guidance, Bryn Mawr's teams and individuals have improved steadily each year. In 2004 the Indoor team notched it's highest Conference finish ever, and Bryn Mawr had two National qualifiers including the school's first Track & Field All-American Joanna Simonis, who set a Centennial Conference record in the 800 meters and finished third at the NCAA Division III Championships outdoors.

Assistant Coach:
Delilah DiCrescenzo

Delilah DiCrescenzo enters her second year as an assistant coach at Bryn Mawr. A native of Chicago, Ill, DiCrescenzo graduated from Columbia University in 2005 and brings a wealth of knowledge and accolades to the Owls cross country, indoor, and outdoor track and field teams.

While at Columbia , DiCrescenzo was a distinguished runner as she excelled in the 3000m steeplechase, 5000m and 1500m/mile, and cross country. A three time Heptagonal Steeplechase champion, the 2005 NCAA East Region Steeplechase Champion, and an NCAA All-American in 2005, DiCrescenzo earned an IAAF World Ranking of 38 in the 3000m Steeplechase in August of 2006.

At the 2006 USATF Indoor Championships, DiCrescenzo placed 9 th in the 1500m and during the Outdoor Championships she took 3 rd place in the 3000m Steeplechase which landed her as an alternate on Team USA for the World Championships. Invited to run at the 2006 Canadian Outdoor Championships in the 3000m Steeplechase as a guest athlete, DiCrescenzo not only won the race but set a new Championship record.

Bryn Mawr's head coach Dan Talbot had this to say about DiCrescenzo, “We are very fortunate and happy to have Delilah here at Bryn Mawr. Our program will benefit from having such a well-rounded and experienced runner.”
