Collegeville, Pa. – The 2007-08 indoor track and field season got underway as the Owls traveled to Ursinus for the annual Winter Invitational.
Sophomore Caitlin Evans set a new personal best in the shot put with a 29-04 heave. Evans broke her previous mark by four feet. Junior Katie Kent also set a personal best in the shot put with a 30-11.25 toss. Kent and Evans finished 10 th and 17 th , respectively.
Head Coach Dan Talbot was pleased with everyone's hard work giving as he prepares to open up the bulk of their schedule following winter break.
The Owls will return to action on February 2, 2008, as they travel down Route 30 for the McElligott Invitational hosted by Haverford College. The meet starts at 11:00 a.m.
