Dr. Imran Shah

Imran is a co-founder of IBB Consulting Group, the leading boutique consulting firm serving leading broadband-related product and service providers in Cable, Mobile and Media industries. Dr. Shah is responsible for IBB’s strategy and vision, major client relationships and leading key engagements.

An acclaimed specialist and thought leader in convergence strategies and technology, Imran has been involved in many of the most significant projects in the broadband industry. Prior to IBB, Imran held senior consulting and industry positions in leading companies such as Philips Electronics and PA Consulting Group, a management and technology consultancy.

As a sought-after consultant and industry advisor, Imran has worked with the most senior management teams in a variety of leading broadband and media companies, including AT&T, Comcast, Cox, Microsoft, Rogers, Sony, Telenor, Time Warner Cable and UPC.

Imran holds a BS, MS and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering all from Columbia University, along with 15 patents. He has been published numerous times. Imran was recipient of the 2009 Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award from the Asian American Business Development Center, and was awarded the 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in IT Consulting. He is on the Columbia Engineering School’s Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and a founding Board member of OPEN’s (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs) New York Chapter. Under his leadership, IBB Consulting Group was honored in 2007 by being named #1 in Consulting Magazine’s Seven Small Jewels of Consulting, and was honored by Inc. 5000 in 2008 as one of the fastest growing private companies in the US

Jane Donohue, PhD '83

Jane Donohue is a leading expert on healthcare market research with over 25 years of experience in the hospital and pharmaceutical marketplace.  She is a seasoned executive with strong entrepreneurial experience.

Dr. Donohue launched a market research division serving the healthcare vertical within YouGov America.  She created the Hospital Index, a syndicated community perception tracking survey that utilized the data assets and proprietary methodologies of YouGov.

Dr. Donohue was co-founded and was CEO of Competency Assessment Solutions (CAS) a software and service company that provided performance and learning management solutions to healthcare institutions, such as WakeMed Health and Hospitals, Mayo Clinic affiliated hospital, and Catholic Healthcare West. CAS helps hospitals improve competence and ensure compliance with JCAHO.  CAS was sold to Lawson in 2006.

Dr. Donohue founded and was CEO of Consumer Health Sciences (CHS) a patient centric market research firm.  CHS rapidly became the “gold standard” in patient reported healthcare information products and services for the pharmaceutical industry in the United States and Europe. CHS worked with 9 of the top 10 global pharmaceutical manufactures.  CHS was sold to WPP Group in 1999.   

Dr. Donohue has held executive research positions at GfK Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson and Merck & Co.  She is Past President of the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence and Research Group.     She holds a B.S. from St. Lawrence University, a M.S. from San Francisco State University and a Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College.
