The Norristown Fall Festival is an annual community-wide day long festival featuring non-profit and activity booths. Bryn Mawr College students, since 2006, have sponsored a children's arts and crafts table at the Fall Festival at Elmwood Park.
BMC students and staff participated in the 12th and 13th annual MCLN’s Corporate Spelling Bee. The Montgomery County literacy Network connects adults seeking literacy assistance with various literacy efforts throughout Montgomery County. Bryn Mawr College students with the support of the Mujeres group on campus and CPIA have volunteered for four consecutive years at the ACLAMO holiday celebration; helping to distribute over 2000 gifts to Norristown families.
Bryn Mawr College students and staff participated in the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger’s “Walk Against Hunger” to benefit Norristown partners CADCOM and Agape in 2007 and Salvation Army and The Patrician Society in 2008. Walking or contributing to the Walk Against Hunger supports the work of the Coalition and food cupboards throughout the region as they assist struggling families and promote anti-hunger policy.
