In honor of Harris Wofford, former President of Bryn Mawr College and retired Chairman of the Corporation for National Service, the Bryn Mawr College Civic Engagement Office sponsors the Harris Wofford Summer of National Service, an opportunity for one selected student to spend the summer interning for a public service organization anywhere in the United States . The recipient of the Harris Wofford Summer of National Service opportunity receives a summer stipend/living allowance to facilitate her work.
The application process for the Harris Wofford Summer of National Service takes place in the early part of the spring semester.

Applicants must be undergraduate Bryn Mawr students completing their freshman, sophomore, or junior year. Students who plan to be at Bryn Mawr in the fall 2011 will be given special consideration. Applicants MUST have identified a project or internship at the time of application.
