What Do I Need To Know About Lab During The First
Week of Classes (Before Lab Classes Start)? |

When Do Labs Meet? |
Lab sections meet
M/Tu/W/Th from 1-4 and, if enrollment is high, Tu/Th from 10-1. You attend
laboratory once a week for the semester on the day you select during
registration. |

How Do I Choose Or Change My Lab Section? |
You select your
lab section when you register for Chem 103/104 on Virtual Registrar. To change your lab section, you must unenroll in the
course, then re-enroll and select the new lab section. |

|
Where Do Labs Meet? |
The class begins
with a short lab lecture held in Room 278, and all lab work is performed in
Room 182. View a map of the General
Chemistry Laboratory and Classrooms. |

Who Teaches The Lab? |
Your work in the
laboratory is supervised by a teaching assistant (graduate student or senior
chemistry major) and Dr. Lukacs. |

|
How Much Time Does Lab Take? |
Your laboratory
class itself meets 3 hours each week. Most students say that they need an
additional 3 hours per week to write reports and to prepare for the upcoming
experiment. |

What Do I Need To Do To Prepare For The First Lab
Class? |

resources. Follow the link to

Lab Home Page to review the schedule and check for any assignments. Purchase a lab notebook and safety
goggles at the BMC bookshop. |
